2019 Illinois Corn Harvest with On Track Farming Inc

Publicado em 18 Dez 2019
Corn harvest video from Central Illinois as I spend some time in the field with On Track Farming Inc as they harvest the 2019 corn crop with their two new Claas Lexion 8800 combines with 16 row Gerringhoff corn heads. Also in the field they are running 3 different tractors and grain carts to get the corn from the field to the trucks.
The tractors and carts are
Challenger 1050 tractor pulling a Blazer 2000 grain cart
Challenger MT 743 tractor pulling a Kinze 1050 grain cart
Cat Challenger MT 865 tractor pulling a Kinze 1500 grain cart
In this video they are working in two different fields.

  • Think you pronou.it right, like in Santa Claus, and colour is now like it allways have been here in EU,think they had some deal with Cat. earlier.

  • That claas right there can go boy

  • I think it's too expensive for you because you are operating to heavy practice in the same time as a 2 trailers. Can I know how much of acre of land your having in the field dear

  • Muito show

  • Keeping this my self won't be enough so I decided to share. I got paid of £8,450 through Bitcoin investment, with the help of Mr Nichoas on Instagram (@ nicholas__fxtrade... .....

  • 2nd time watching this. Just as good as the first time. I like the new color scheme except for the red rims

  • Where are the Cluas machines made? I have only worked with the silage choppers. Where are they manufactured?

    • @JB Brown Engineered in Germany, but I think they build/assemble all their combines for the north america market in Omaha, NE.

    • Google says Germany.

  • SUPER!!!

  • Awesome camera angles! Good job 👍🏻

  • Thank you for some great video coverage. With the occasional narration and “none” of the annoying background music that most people put in their videos. Just pure clean farm videos. 👍

  • Absolutely fantastic video! Keep it up, sir!

  • American farmers are simply great.City boy knows where our backbone is of this great Republic when I watch these videos I see an American miracle.

  • Máy thu hoạch nhanh hiện đại quá bạn ơi

  • Mike, I always wondered how they opened up a lane, or split a really big field. Great video, thanks.

  • Thanks for a beautiful video. I'm very thankful for explanations. I've not been raised on a farm but have had a big passion for farming ever since I got my first toy tractors. I appreciate all of your farming videos because I couldn't be able to see something like this otherwise.

  • Fantastic video. It is like watching a documentary on national geographic channel. So beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  • I could watch hours of this. Love their operation

  • Deus te abençoe em nome de Jesus

  • How many bu per sec can those bines eat up? Or how many bu per hr? 7000 bu/ hr?

  • Hallo Mike super Video ! ? ? Gruß aus Weil am Rhein Deutschland

  • there is no reason too cut down the middle of the field when the edges are opened up. just a waste of time too do that. continue too do the edges and the carts are always ready.

    • So you want the combines to go all the way from one edge to the other every time they turn around??

  • Me e soñado estar en esas partes me encanta trabajar en es e tipo de maquinas

  • I watch your videos all day mainly Corn and Wheat!

  • I need you to make a video about the multi use combine, the reason why i ask, i saw a video of a carrot harvest , and the harvester seem to be the same as a potato harvester,, can a wheat combine harvest rice etc,,,,, can potato do sugar beet and sweet potato. thanks

  • is this sunny day in July or December?!!!!

  • In ireland we call it class as in class action

  • Love the green!!💚💚💚

  • 🙏❤🌽😍

  • Exelent video

  • Q lugar fantástico.

  • это снег на поле( it's snowing on the field)

  • Why don’t you use a four wheeler or aside but side

  • They could have not push my trailer like that

  • Nice set up for the farm

  • How much land was planted for this video?

  • Mike - Great video. I'm a retired Pastor, living in Davenport, IA. Most of my extended family growing up were farmers (I was pretty much a city kid). My experience on the farm was in the summer when I drove Mom nuts, and she sent me for a couple of weeks to an aunt or uncle's farm to run off my excess energy. I enjoyed watching this harvest video. The overhead shots were great, and your explanation of the hand off between the combines made complete sense to me. Thanks again. Blessings to you and your family as you prepare for another season of growing to feed America and the world.

  • really good footage. you deserve way more subscribers

    • Thanks, It's a tough business getting those subscribers but I'll keep working for them.

  • My land is dead in south texas. Cancerous poison in the wind. The farmers you know need to send soil samples to biohazard labs for analysis.

  • How many acres this will be? great video

  • Great video for some one planning to go into commercial farming. I love it

  • hey mike you might get it figured out!!!!!!!!!just kidding

  • Forgive my stupidity, but, what is flashing on the top of of the combines? It appears to be a defective fluorescent light fixture. I know that's wrong, but for illustration it's the best I can think of

    • @tsint Sorry for the delay in answering you. That sounds better than my answer. You may have noticed that I'm not from around there :-) Never drove any that big. I did break a 600 Ford in half though one time. Try explaining that one to the boss( your girlfriends father)

    • Beacon flash light, turned on when the grain tank is 70% full

  • Class leksion 8900 that u need to find and film!

  • Very nice set of equipment. Also a great mix of overhead drone and on the ground shots.

  • What is the purpose of the extra spinning reel on top of the header?

  • Very fine movie as always with plenty of time to enjoy these huge machines at work, and learning a bit all the complex planning of a corn harvest. Good to see that the climate changes has'nt reached America yet, you still get snow. In Denmark we have had the wettest season ever recorded. It's been raining since mid September, so the poor farmers and contractors has had to invent many new tools to pick the corn out of the mud - see brdown.net/top/qKaOrczZn5OBsNI/video

  • Love Your Technique. You Know What Your Talking About. Love it.

  • Awesome

  • Now that’s eating up some acres quickly nice video thanks Mike😎 and side note you do know what you are talking about 👍

  • these combines must be really new beacause the green/white was just released in North America

  • I'm surprised the farmers allow you to walk between a machine and attraction trailer it's dangerous you should know that you drive a green car

  • In the video why do you walk between machines when you get back of the truck and look at

  • Im 86 yefar old been there done that, so I know you know what your talking about

  • Why do you always keep on walking between the the machines getting back of the truck and show the corn going in

  • That tractor pulling that 'Balzer' trailer looks like a Fendt 1000 only in some other colour..

  • Also in UK, we have a nickname for the Claas Lexion, we call them sexy lexy's!

  • In UK we pronounce Claas as Class, Class combines etc.

  • beautiful field

  • I can see why farmer's need those government subsidies. That's some very expensive new iron on those fields and roads

    • Yeah German combines, German head and one Challenger built in Germany they prob own the land as well. The future isn't looking good.

  • Mike what purpose does the yellow reel turning out front serve?

    • Jackie Jordan They are a down corn reel..they are. In a storage position at this time.. When down corn conditions merit there use, they hydraulically lower to help feed the damaged stalks into the auger and into the feeder house.. Insuring even feeding into threshing mechanism and hopefully no slugging..

  • Internet ninjas at work again. I really enjoy your videos.

  • There seems to be a lot of residue corn stalks etc. How do they deal with all that residue?

  • Good thing about your videos is no ear ripped music .

  • Love your detail about combine switching field .

  • brdown.net/top/kYaWfNaqrKKlmag/video

  • Had a Claas Consul 2.6 mtr, 68 HP Aircooled Deutz Engine ....

  • Do you know if those are the biggest combines in the world, or are there some bigger?

  • That's a big head at high speed. Poor corn?

  • Are the spinner thing on the corn header used for the farmers so they have something to watch so they don’t go insane

  • I always forget that the eastern states don't have much for ditches

  • God over here uk our Corn comes in packets courtesy of Kellogg's!! Gordon Exmouth uk

  • These boys would not know what to do with themselves in sw Iowa we have things called hills terraces and contours. Looks like guys in this part of the country have only heard stories about those things lol

    • The heads automatically follow the contour of the field, gauges underneath!

  • John Deere scared by a Claas never thought I see the day lol

    • What would give you that impression?

  • @35:30 mark, oh Deere another dad pun. Pun game is lathered on thicc.

  • Excellent video mike .They say it more like klause in germany .Had lunch with Mr and Mrs Claas in 2015 as part of a factory tour. Still a family owned company .

  • MIKE,YOURS VIDEO IS GREAT. CONGRATULATIONS! ( I am from Brazil)

  • I wonder if this is the hagen farm

  • Great video Mike!

  • I'm surprised they are are still running that old kinze grain cart. That thing has to be ten years old. considering all the new equipment they are running.

  • very nice video of very nice machines thank you

  • only observation I had there was no need for the back combine to switch over to the leed combines rows just slowed down progress by doing so

    • Joe Scheller thats what they did... the back combine dumped then they switched places. If they don’t switch places how does the front combine unload on the go?

    • @EllisonB89 if the following combine dumps early neither have to wait.outside of pulling to side. I get it have been doing the chasing and running the combine since 1952 as a small boy

    • Joe Scheller actually doing that saves the lead combine from having to notch over so there is room for the grain cart to pull beside him to unload, also saves the lead combine from having to sit still while unloading and can now unload on the go.

  • Great video Mike, those Claas are powerful machines, handling those corn heads with ease, you can almost feel the ground move🌽😁😎

  • I say "Claas" ;)

  • Class 10!!! Does anyone else have a class;i0

    • Nope not class, got to be Claas if it has to be class!

  • Dream machines !

    • Tror nok der også kan blive en til dig!

  • The
